CCS morning news crew
Cahlia Cotto
Cahlia Cotto is a student in Ms. Maalouf’s 9th period morning news and broadcasting class. She looks forward to see how things work behind the scenes of a new cast. Outside of school, Cahlia is a competitive dancer that trains very often during the week, but still manages to find the time for school. She states that at many times it can be difficult for her, but she finds a way to manage it all. During the rest of the year, Cahlia is interested in seeing how many jobs have to fit into one broadcast. She is interested in the behind the scenes of it all and seeing how everything works. She looks forward to learning more!
Lauren Wallace
Lauren Wallace joined Morning News in her Junior Year. She joined because she wanted to overcome her fear of presenting in front of a crowd. Although there was not really a physical crowd staring at her while she spoke as an anchor, it really helped her put her voice out there. She learned to speak with clarity and to smile to those she talked to. Now in her Senior Year, she looks back on her experiences on set. She loved how the club felt like a family. She is very happy that to say that this was an experience she could never replace.
Melinda Williams
Melinda Williams is in Mrs. Maalouf's ninth period morning news class and is excited to help behind the scenes. This is her second year being a part of the news team. She is in many of the clubs at Collegium Charter School like the History Club, the Fencing Club, and Creative Writing Club. She also enjoys writing in her free time and playing video games. She joined Morning News because she wanted to be a script writer and support the news to help make it even better. She also wanted to learn how to do everything behind the scenes like editing. She looks forward to seeing the broadcast improve and hopes to improve in her news writing and editing skills.
Spencer Seikel
Spencer Seikel is a senior at collegium charter school. He loves to play guitar and attend the fencing club at his school. He plays video games and his favorite genres are RPG's and real time strategy games. He loves science and math; He wants to be a physicist. he's very nice and respectful of his elders. He is also very willing to help people, if they need it. He's optimistic, fun, and desires happiness in everyone.
Tyler Bergman
Tyler Bergman is a Sophomore at Collegium Charter School and is in Mrs. Maalouf's ninth period Broadcasting: Morning News. He is a Boy Scout outside of school, and enjoys camping. He is a Life Scout of Troop 55. He looks forward to be a part of the success of this course.
Madison Wachter
Maddie Wachter is a freshman here at Collegium. She is so happy to be a part of the CCS Morning News crew! She's also excited to get to know her fellow Morning News coworkers. She works behind the camera, but she also works as a scriptwriter. She joined Morning News to get a better idea of what she would like to do later in life and get experience working with different computer programs. Outside of Morning News, Maddie participates in the Tri-M and CCST. She also enjoys creative writing and playing the ukulele.
Ronald Lavender
Ronald (known as RJ by his peers) Lavender is a young 10th grader that wants to show people how cool the school he goes to is. RJ is one of the many people recording events for the school. You may know RJ from the Mr. and Mrs. Collegium pageant. He will be recording most of the music events that take place here at Collegium Charter High School. Lavender is also a proud member of the GSA chapter of Collegium. Lastly, he is an active member of the creative writing club.

Karl Romberger is excited to be in his second year in CCS Morning News! He is excited to run Meme of the Month, appear as a day 4 anchor, and help with other recordings. Besides news, he enjoys music and gaming. He is a junior this year, and he can not wait for the year to unfold.
Jake Zolomi
with an arsenal of movies, TV shows, and books, Jake Zolomij returns to the morning news for his final year. When he is not seen talking about Micheal Myers durability, he can be seen as a part of GSA, Tri-M, and in different plays and musicals. Jake originally joined the morning news to introduce pop culture to his fellow students.
Aidan Tonsy
Aiden Tonsy is a CCS Student who really like the news. Aiden works on sound, and loves his job. He loves to have fun, and he is also known for his constant humorous behavior. he also likes to make new friends, and meet new people.
Keegan Barr
Keegan Barr is a 11th grade student, and he edits for segments in the morning news. He is an active member of the National History Club, and Fencing Club. He is very interested in video editing and photoshops.
Cole Zolomij
Cole Zolomij is an 11th grader, and he loves to draw. Cole does the pop fiction segment, which reviews movies and TV Shows. He was brought on board with doing pop fiction by his older brother, Jake. Cole is also a part of the school newspaper, the CCS ROAR. Ironically, Cole works at a movie theater.
Alex Pham
Alex Pham is a teleprompter in the CCS Morning News. He is a student of the class of 2022. He enjoys to play the viola, and to do volunteer work. Currently, he is also a part of the National History Club, Tri-M, and Orchestra. He joined the Morning News to experience something new.
Lily Iding
Lily Iding is a freshman wide eyed with morning news. As well as being in Morning News, Iding participates on our Cross Country team. She helps the news team with script writing. Lily Iding enjoys writing fiction stories. in addition to that, she plays on a soccer team outside of CCS.
Jada Acevedo
Jada Acevedo is a junior here at Collegium, and she joined CCS Morning News as a sophmor. She started as a sub anchor and eventually became a permanent one. Jada also likes to play lacrosse, and she loves how CCS Morning News does not interfere with that. You can check her out on day 5s in the morning.
Morgan Linkins
Morgan Linkins is a junior at CCS. She is a co-anchor amongst her many other activities in school. She plays volleyball, is the president of the National History Club, is a part of student forum, as well as part of other clubs. She hopes to get to know everyone on the CCS Morning News crew this year.
Chloe Holman
Chloe Holman is a junior here at Collegium. She is excited to be a Co-anchor this year after starting off as a weather girl and broadcast technician last year. Along with morning news, she is the junior class representative, and involved with UNICEF and BSU. Holman is proud of what morning news has become, and looks forward to the rest of the year.
